Indian shot dead by miscreants in Washington, Sushma Swaraj coordinating with the investigative agencies.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday confirmed that Indian shot dead by miscreants in Washington, by two armed miscreants in Washington State in the United States.

Vikram Jaryal, 26, resident of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, moved to US just 25 days ago. He was working as a clerk at AM-PM Gas Station of family friend’s store in Yakima city. At around 1:30 AM on 6th April 2017, two armed miscreants entered the store and robbed away the cash from Jaryal and shot in his chest. The whole incident was told to the police by the victim himself when police reached few minutes later, but ironically he died by the time he reached to the hospital.

The External Affair’s minister Sushma Swaraj told in her message on twitter that the Indian consulate in San Francisco is coordinating with the Police officials there and with the victim’s family too. His family had sought Swaraj’s help yesterday to bring Jaryal’s body back to his native place for the last rights.

Swaraj condoled the “tragic death” after she was informed about the incident by the victim`s brother through twitter seeking her help to bring back the body. She added up saying that they are coordinating with the investigative agencies. They have got the CCTV footage and are in the process of apprehending the culprits.
